A dramatic accident took place in Winklern near Oberwölz, in Styria, Austria. A bull that escaped from the farm injured three people, Agrarheute reports.
The bull wanted at all costs to visit the pen on the farm beyond, where a cow with a calf and another bull were grazing. He broke through two electric fences, but then his path was blocked by the farmer and a couple of farmers from the neighborhood.
Their attempt to drive the bull back failed miserably. The enraged animal trampled people and then ran into the neighbors' farm, where it attacked a competitor for the cow's favor. The 25-year-old owner of the bull and his neighbors, aged 71 and 64, were seriously injured. A rescue helicopter took them to the hospital.
The bull was also unlucky because he lost to his rival, and while trying to escape, he fell from a cliff several meters high into a rocky stream. A local hunter finished off the severely injured and broken animal.
