ROMET creates an innovative lithium-ion modular battery, which means that the customer will be able to increase its capacity even twice, and therefore extend the range of electric bicycle support according to their individual needs. A battery consisting of one, two or three modules will offer from 400 to 1200 Wh. Battery life will also be extended and the cells will be 80% recyclable. The combination of these solutions means that ROMET introduces product innovation, eco-innovation and digital innovation with one product.
The structure of the bicycle designed as part of the innovation will be characterized by higher durability. Additionally, varnish will be used to provide greater protection, less dirt and dust adhesion, and ease of cleaning.
– ROMET is revolutionizing the production process, making mobility even more efficient, allowing the bicycle to be treated as an environmentally friendly solution, promoting health and eliminating the problems of intensive urbanization in our cities – says Wiesław Grzyb, president of ROMET.

As part of production innovations, the company focuses on the development of production processes that will increase the volume of bicycles produced while optimizing costs. An automatic production line, automated packaging and issuing components from the warehouse are just some of the innovations being introduced. Investments in ecology are also an important area, thanks to which the ROMET factory in Podkarpacie will soon be energy self-sufficient. This will be possible thanks to thermal modernization, thermo-optimization, i.e. ensuring an appropriate working environment, as well as investment in photovoltaics, under which the company is installing solar panels with an area of 30,000 square meters. Another element in which ROMET invests is digital innovation. The company is developing a new ERP system, i.e. a program for managing all resources, thanks to which it will be much easier and more efficient to plan all production processes. The system will also analyze all necessary data, the so-called BIG DATA, which will make it easier to collect data for product improvement and easier and faster management of the supply chain, which will be better synchronized with customer needs.

Romet is developing a chain of stores

The ROMET Group focuses on the development of its sales network, which now has nearly 700 points, including 39 multi-brand showrooms under the PROROWERY brand. Recently, it has been joined by more stores in Masovia, Silesia and Lublin. The ROMET Group plans further expansion, taking advantage of the increased interest in bicycles – especially electric ones.

The aim of investing in the development of the sales network in Poland is to ensure easy access to bicycle equipment, while at the same time maintaining relationships with customers. The company will focus on building a cycling community by organizing bicycle events – such as service workshops, presentations of new products or group bicycle trips – We know that many customers want to take advantage of the opportunity to test a bicycle before purchasing and expect comprehensive service – says Wiesław Grzyb, president of ROMET.

Last year, bicycle sales dropped, but according to OLX data, a significant recovery can be expected this year, in which electric bicycles will play an important role. According to OLX, in January and February the website recorded a significant revival in advertisements in the bicycle category – 13.5% higher than in the same period last year and by 23% compared to 2022, in the first two months of this year for advertisements in the bicycle category nearly 180,000 responded. users. The market for bicycle accessories is also growing, which increases supply. In 2023 alone, private and business OLX users added nearly 2 million ads in the hardware and accessories category, which represents a 35% year-on-year increase.

New Romet advertising campaign

ROMET started the bicycle season with an extensive promotional campaign covering radio, television and the Internet. The campaign was carried out both on the Internet and on television, and the message also appeared on the radio, on billboards and on buses in the largest cities in Poland.
