Hedge or risk management funds have become the most sought-after asset class for the first time in years thanks to their strong performance despite tough conditions and uncertainty.
American investment bank Goldman Sachs reported that hedge or risk management funds gave an average return of 5.7 percent in the first half of this year.
He points out that this is slightly less than the average return of 7.1 percent for the entire previous year.
In the report, Goldman Sachs highlights the good performance of various types of hedge funds. The best results were recorded by those implementing fundamental strategies, especially long/short positions in stocks, which produced an average investment return of 7.6 percent. Quantitative strategy funds generated a 7 percent return, continuing the streak since 2023.
