Jacek Zarzecki assesses the current situation on the beef market as stable. In his opinion, live cattle prices are stable and there are no situations on the market that would cause greater fluctuations. The slight changes are caused by local demand for cattle.

Shortage of calves for fattening

– We see an increase in calf imports once again, which shows that there is a shortage of animals for fattening. An increase in meat exports is also visible, and Turkey plays a significant role here – emphasizes the president of PZHiPBM.

Export of live animals to such distant countries as Kazakhstan and Mongolia has also started. These are not large quantities yet, but they show our export potential in this area. The opening of new markets for our beef should keep prices stable with the prospect of small increases.

– We are currently working on the first promotional strategy in Poland for the industry on export markets and on the domestic market. We want to complete the work by October this year. Its effect is to be a joint promotional logo "Polska Wołowina" – announces Zarzecki.
