The baler and stubble burned down

The fire broke out yesterday in a field near Żyrowa in the Zdzieszowice commune, Krapkowice poviat (Opole Voivodeship). While baling straw, the agricultural baler caught fire and the stubble caught fire.

The fire spread to approximately 0.5 ha of the mown field and several straw bales. Teams of firefighters from the District Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Krapkowice, the Jasiona Volunteer Fire Department and the Żyrowa Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to the site. Firefighters quickly brought the threat under control, but the machine suffered heavy damage in the flames.
