Tesco is creating more same-day delivery slots for shoppers, pushing its offering four hours earlier than any other full-line retailer.
The supermarket is making its same-day delivery slots available earlier in the day across more than 400 stores.
The grocery giant currently offers same day click and collect slots starting from 4pm and home delivery slots from 7pm.
However, across the selected large UK stores, click and collect slots will begin from midday while home delivery slots will start from 1pm.
Shoppers will be required to carry out the same booking process, with the newly available slots showing on the booking page with the option to place or amend their order by 8:45am that day.

Tesco online managing director Tom Denyard said: “We are excited to have rolled out more same-day opportunities for customers to get an online slot, offering customers more spaces – and therefore more flexibility – than ever before.
“This allows them to book closer to their delivery or collection time and therefore improve our market-leading customer experience.”
It comes after the retailer saw a strong online performance over Christmas, with an 11% surge in online revenues during its third quarter and festive period.
Additionally, Tesco boss Ken Murphy noted that its rapid delivery service Whoosh played an important role for shoppers, “helping them shop whenever and however they wanted as they got ready for those important festive celebrations”.
