In July, communication services had a significant impact on inflation, with prices rising by 11 percent year-on-year. Telecom companies say that communication prices have been falling in recent years, and the need for investment is now forcing companies to raise prices again, ERR writes .
"If we look at the last three years, due to high inflation, consumer prices have increased by 36 percent, while the prices of communication services have actually decreased. In recent years, there has been a general decrease in the prices of communication services. However, at the beginning of this year, there was an increase in prices, as companies in this area were forced to increase prices to cover their costs," said Telia Eesti CEO Holger Haljand.
Telia's dividends are one and a half times higher than the investment volume.
Over the past 12 months, Telia has increased prices for both mobile internet and home services.
