Multiservice company Tele2 has introduced a new service – bill insurance. In the event of dismissal or long-term illness, the client will be able to receive compensation for the mobile communication services purchased. In other words, the client will be able to continue using mobile communication services despite the fact that their monthly income has decreased and they are experiencing difficulties making various payments, including for the telephone. A survey conducted by Tele2 together with Norstat found that every third resident of Latvia (34%) has been dismissed at least once in their life. About 30% of these people needed about six months to find a new job. Having found themselves in such an unpleasant situation, every fifth Latvian (20%) was late with paying their bills. "As the survey shows, in such situations people most often save on entertainment, clothing and footwear, as well as travel. At the same time, there are also many who are late in paying various monthly bills. In order to protect our customers in such an unpleasant situation and not force them to give up mobile communications, we have introduced bill insurance," says Raivo Rosts, Commercial Director of Tele2. "This is another product that complements our range of services and gives us new opportunities in the insurance sector, where we have been working for a long time and testing various solutions." Tele2 bill insurance was introduced in cooperation with the insurance company Ergo.
