The TechnoNIKOL Corporation has begun construction of a third stone wool production plant in Khabarovsk Krai and reconstruction of the existing Techno Plant enterprise. This was reported by Interfax .

Total investment in the projects will amount to 3.5 billion rubles. Completion of the work is scheduled for 2027. The capacity of the new TechnoNIKOL plant in Khabarovsk will be 400 thousand cubic meters of construction heat and sound insulation made of stone wool per year.
After the upgrade, Techno Plant will produce technical insulation and will also start a new production of substrates from stone wool for greenhouses – cubes and mats for growing plants hydroponically. In addition, the shipbuilding insulation line will be fully automated and its productivity will be increased.
“Expansion of capacity will help us meet the growing needs of builders in the Far East and increase exports to China and other Asia-Pacific countries, according to our estimates, by up to 20%,” commented Vasily Tkachev, head of the Mineral Insulation department at Technonicol .
The pre-project stage of the new production has already begun. In particular, this concerns the lease of a land plot, preparation of the technical specifications for the implementation of the project and a tender for the selection of a supplier of key equipment. Preliminary work has also already been initiated at the construction site.
