In the first seven months of this year, 8.268 billion euros in tax revenues were collected, which is 106.5 million euros or 1.3% less than planned, the Finance Ministry told LETÁ. Tax revenues in the first seven months of 2024 amounted to 506.1 million euros, which is 6.5% more than in the same period in 2023. In the total state budget, tax revenues in the first seven months of this year amounted to 7.788 billion euros, which is 112.7 million euros or 1.4% less than planned. In the state budget, tax revenues for this period amounted to 6.476 billion euros, which is 192 million euros or 2.9% less than planned, while tax revenues in the budgets of local governments amounted to 1.312 billion euros, exceeding the plan by 79.3 million euros or 6.4%. Tax revenues from the state-funded pension scheme amounted to €480.7 million, €6.2 million or 1.3% more than planned. Personal income tax, lottery and gambling tax, property tax and tobacco excise duty were collected in higher amounts than expected in the seven months. However, revenues from other taxes are behind schedule. Revenues from value added tax (VAT) in the seven months of this year amounted to €2.148 billion, 7.2% less than planned, while personal income tax revenues amounted to €1.52 billion, exceeding the plan by 7%. Excise tax revenues for the period amounted to €680.3 million, 4.5% less than planned. Corporate income tax collections for the first seven months of the year amounted to EUR 496.6 million, 0.8% below plan, while property tax collections amounted to EUR 163.2 million, 2.8% above plan. Vehicle tax collections for the first seven months of the year amounted to EUR 64.9 million, 1.8% below plan, while natural resource tax collections amounted to EUR 48.4 million, 6% below plan. Customs duty collections amounted to EUR 35.8 million for the first seven months of the year, 3.9% below plan, while lottery and gambling tax collections amounted to EUR 32.1 million, 4.9% above plan.
