A Talent School has opened in Novaya Borovaya – one of the largest in the country. The complex of three buildings is designed for 1,125 children and teenagers. It has an amphitheater, art space, media center, pump tracks and “quiet” relaxation areas with hammocks.
The school was built by the developer A-100 Development and transferred free of charge to the balance sheet of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee, and a total of more than $20 million was invested in it.
The school is dedicated to talents. For this, the designers created special spaces: an amphitheater for future musicians, a media center for young bloggers, and a magnetic puzzle wall. During breaks, you can play table tennis, and multifunctional marker boards will help in communication and joint solution of complex problems. Paintings and art objects will be displayed in the exhibition area.
The complex was built at the intersection of Nikolay Kamov and Pilotnaya streets. Three school buildings are located away from residential buildings, so that noise from the stadium and playgrounds will not bother residents. A bus stop and spacious parking for parents are organized nearby. There are also places for bicycles.
All three rectangular buildings are slightly turned towards each other. Each has a separate entrance and is connected to other glazed galleries, but differs in layout and architecture. Thus, the central building is painted in an accent red shade and stands out with square windows in an asymmetrical order. In the building for junior classes, the openings received welcoming yellow frames, but the building for senior students looks strict – in a classical style.
In the yard there is a large playground with a rope complex, musical instruments and swings. For sports there is a large stadium with artificial turf, a workout zone, basketball, volleyball and mini-football courts. Something unusual is the pump tracks for bicycles, scooters and skateboards of varying difficulty. You can also relax in silence: on a site with large hammocks and portable chairs.
"The School of Talents is one of the largest and most technologically advanced in the country. We designed, built and filled it with love, and for us it is a new "pearl" of Novaya Borovaya. Every detail – from the multi-colored facades to the recreation areas – is thought out to the smallest detail. It is this environment, with due attention from teachers, that can reveal a child's abilities and raise a genius. What is important is that we do everything "turnkey", right down to the arrangement of furniture and inventory," explains Anna Yastrebova, General Director of the A-100 Development Group of Companies.
The entire complex was designed by the developer's architects and assembled from reinforced concrete structures from the SBK plant, part of the A-100 Development group of companies. The slabs, panels and other products were first manufactured at the plant, and then transported and assembled on site. This technology reduced the construction time and cost.
In September, classes will begin at the school: 69 classrooms will be open, including computer science rooms and language laboratories. There are also playrooms and workshops for working with wood, metal and fabric. A culinary studio with a large kitchen has been planned.
The school has a small and a large gymnasium with stands. There is also a spacious library and an assembly hall. The canteen is designed as a city bistro. An interesting detail: transparent doors lead to the administration to eliminate the barrier between the teacher and the student.
All classes have already been formed. Children from Novaya Borovaya, Kopishche and Valeryanovo will study in them. There are also places for schoolchildren from other microdistricts and villages.
The school team is also assembled – mainly from teachers of the highest and middle categories, but young specialists were also involved. In particular, the Belarusian language teacher, who prepares 100-point students and Olympiad winners, will share knowledge. A graphic designer with experience in Spain has also become part of the team. They plan to involve bloggers in the classes.
Let us recall that Novaya Borovaya already has a school, four kindergartens and a sports center. Each of them is designed in a unique concept. The Yellow Giraffe kindergarten is decorated in a zoo theme, Space stands out with a giant rocket and bedrooms with a starry sky and constellations, and the recently opened DinoSad kindergarten is dedicated to dinosaurs. The halls and courtyard of the School of the Future contain scientific exhibits to introduce children to the exact sciences in a playful way. The developer A-100 Development builds and fills social facilities independently, after which it transfers them to the balance sheet of the district executive committee.
