We asked our readers the question “What are you saving on now?” and received an active response. It turned out that Estonian residents save on many things and often refuse to buy Estonian products in use of cheaper imported goods.According to data of the Department of Statistics, in 2024 the average inflation in Estonia was 3.5%. With this index of consumer prices in Estonia increased compared with the average value of 2023 year by 3.5%. In December 2024 year the index of consumer prices increased compared with November 2024 year by 0,1%, and by compared with December 2023 year – by 3.9%. Goods in December increased in price in a yearly comparison
by 3.2%, and services – by 5.1%. All of this combined with the increase in the tax time causes that we are increasingly forced to save. So, most of the responses we received suggest that people have revised their spending
