The American VF Corporation has sold the Supreme clothing brand. The buyer was the French eyewear manufacturer EssilorLuxottica, writes Kommersant .

The transaction amount was $1.5 billion, which will be paid in cash. The parties expect to close the deal by the end of 2024
Supreme was created by James Jebbia in 1994 as a skate shop in New York City. The brand produces clothing, shoes, accessories and skateboards themselves, including in collaboration with other fashion brands, including representatives of the luxury segment. The brand now has 17 stores in the US, Europe and Asia. Online stores remain the main sales channel.
