In the statement sent to PAP, it was noted that according to the company's initial analyses, this year's sugar beet harvest – especially in Wielkopolska – will be higher than expected. In the company's opinion, this is due to favorable weather conditions.
Roman Kubiak, president of Pfeifer & Langen Polska, was quoted in the press release as emphasising that according to signals coming from Brazil, India and China "the expected sugar production in these countries will be lower".
According to announcements, Pfeifer & Langen Polska will increase export sales.
"This year's campaign will be a challenge for sugar factories to use their full production capacity and minimize the risk of losing raw materials. In a special letter to growers, Pfeifer & Langen Polska emphasized the need for timely deliveries and taking care of the quality of the delivered sugar beets," the release added.
The Pfeifer & Langen Polska SA Group has four sugar factories in our country: in Środa Wlkp., Gostyń, Miejska Górka and Glinojeck. (PAP)
