We learned about the incident from social media. The fire was said to have broken out at around 3:00 a.m. It engulfed not only a stack of straw containing 1,500 bales, but also a trailer used to transport straw standing nearby.

The information was confirmed by the local portal grodzisknewes.pl. According to the editorial office, twelve fire brigades were dispatched to the extinguishing operation. However, the firefighters' efforts focused not on extinguishing the fire, but on securing the area so that the fire would not spread to greater distances. As reported by the Grodzisk fire brigade, it was impossible to extinguish such a mass of burning straw and the fire must burn out on its own.

According to unofficial reports from social media, there is a chance that the cause of the stack fire was arson. A container of flammable liquid was found at the scene. This theory may also be confirmed by the fact that the fire started simultaneously along the entire length of the stack. Ultimately, the cause of the fire will be explained by an investigation.

It is worth adding that this is one of several straw stack fires that we have had to deal with in recent days. Unfortunately, it often turns out that their causes are arson.
