The K-Scan service was launched in the fall of 2022, enabling customers to scan products using special scanners already available in 101 stores or using the Kaufland application.
For years, we have been focusing on innovative technologies that increase the comfort of our customers. The K-Scan service, self-service checkouts, electric vehicle charging stations and digital panels replacing regular price readers are solutions that consumers can already use in many of our branches. The ability to scan products yourself has gained enormous popularity. In 2023, our customers used mobile scanners almost one million times, an increase of almost fifty percent compared to the previous year. These numbers clearly show that consumers appreciate the convenience and speed of shopping with K-Scan – says Tomasz Antczak, Director of the Sales Processes Department at Kaufland Polska.
Kaufland is constantly developing the service, striving to make this innovative solution available to the widest possible group of customers throughout the country. Since its launch in autumn 2022, K-Scan has been gaining more and more popularity, so the chain is introducing it in more branches. At the end of 2023, the number of stores where mobile scanners could be used was 45. The dynamic development of the service contributed to the implementation of K-Scan to additional stores, doubling this number already in the first half of this year. Kaufland will soon implement K-Scan in other branches.
