According to the law, citizens of the Russian Federation also have the right to refuse to receive checks sent by phone and email, or to change their data. In practice, the corresponding measures should come into effect from March 1, 2025.
The amendments were adopted as part of a bill to simplify registration procedures for cash register equipment (CCT). They must solve problems with the refusal to issue paper checks in public catering.
It is also expected that the law will allow businesses to reduce costs, since the client will only need to provide one paper document instead of an invoice and a check.
