Easier to consumer bankruptcy
COIG reminds, that since January 1 2015 year the regulations on consumer bankruptcy have been liberalized, which has significantly eased debtors to use this procedure. Previously, until 24 March 2020 year, half of applications for bankruptcy were denied, because it was necessary to demonstrate that the insolvency was not due to the fault of the debtor. Today every notification of insolvency ends with its announcement, and the court decides the amount and period of repayment of the obligations, which may last up to 7 years, adjusting the conditions to the financial capacity of the debtor.
From the beginning of the revised legislation in 2015 year to the end of 2024 year a total 115 693 customer insolvencies were announced.
