Costs of growing silage corn in 2024
WIR has calculated the cost of growing 1 ha of corn for silage as of July 2024. It shows that the total costs are PLN 9,019. In turn, the revenue was calculated at PLN 5,220. This means that the financial result for silage corn is minus PLN 3,799.
It should be noted, as can be seen in the table below, that the calculations were made for a yield of 55 t/ha of fresh matter.

How did corn calculations look in previous years?
In March 2024, in the case of corn intended for silage, the cost calculated by WIR amounted to PLN 9,207.84, and the revenue was PLN 5,508.17. That is, the financial result was one hundred zlotys lower than in July 2024 and amounted to minus PLN 3,699.67.
In turn, in April 2022, the calculations of the Wielkopolska Chamber of Agriculture for silage corn were a cost of PLN 9,289, and revenue of PLN 11,102. That is, the financial result was in the black by approximately PLN 1,812.
