Wheat on MATIF fell by over 5 percent in a week.
Wheat in the September delivery contract at MATIF rose by 1.9 percent on Friday and cost EUR 205.25/t (PLN 877/t), while year-on-year the price fell by 10.9 percent. Over the week, the price fell by 5.4 percent. The price of corn on the Paris exchange in the November contract fell by 0.6 percent and amounted to EUR 195.50/t (PLN 835/t), while over the past year it has fallen by 9.9 percent. Week-on-week, the price fell by 4.0 percent.
Prices are also falling overseas
Wheat on the CBoT in the September contract on Friday rose by 0.3% and cost 194.74 USD/t. In year-on-year terms, the quotations fell by 10.1%. Over the week, the price fell by 2.3%. The price of corn in the September contract on the Chicago exchange fell by 1.2% and amounted to 145.86 USD/t, and over the past year it has fallen by 21.7%. In weekly terms, the quotations fell by 1.7%.
