- On August 7, 2024, Shoper published preliminary financial results for the second quarter of 2024.
- Omnichannel GMV (total value of transactions generated by stores operating on the Shoper platform, including additional channels, i.e. marketplace or price comparison websites) amounted to PLN 3.5 billion, which means an increase of 61% compared to the same period in the previous year.
The stores' GMV (i.e. the total sales value generated by online stores operating on the Shoper platform) also recorded an impressive result, which amounted to PLN 2.6 billion, indicating a 35% increase compared to the second quarter of the previous year.
Shoper enjoys high profitability
– Sales increases in online stores operating on the Shoper platform are several times higher than those of the competition. This shows that the innovations introduced have a real impact on the sales efficiency of both store owners and the increase in the company's revenues. – comments Piotr Biczysko, CFO of Shoper. – We are also pleased with the high profitability, expressed in adjusted EBITDA.
The company boasted high profitability, adjusted EBITDA reached PLN 15.8 million, which means a 32% increase compared to the same period in the previous year.
Shoper focuses on the development of the platform and AI
In May this year, Shoper announced the opening of a new competence center in Poznań, which will bring together artificial intelligence specialists. In June, the company announced an update to the Shoper engine called Storefront.
– The number of store owners on our platform using the Storefront update has exceeded 500 stores and is still growing. The technology is revolutionary when it comes to the Polish market. The system was created in cooperation with sellers and we can already see that this model of innovation is optimal. Storefront has a real impact on sales effectiveness. – comments Paweł Rybak, CCO Shoper.
Shoper's plans for international sales
In June, Shoper announced cooperation with XBS Group, which will enable the company's clients to outsource logistics. This is the first service of this type in Shoper's portfolio. Additionally, the company boasted about its work on the introduction of the Shoper Broker service, which includes new logistics operators.
This is another step towards the development of the cross-border offer. Shoper announced new partnerships with international companies responsible for logistics and payments. We also read about plans to implement foreign currency support as part of Shoper Płatności.

Shoper provides the necessary infrastructure for online commerce. In addition to software for running an online store, it also offers a number of sales support services.
