Local government officials from Lower Silesia point out that farmers who submitted applications and payments under the "Animal Welfare" ecoscheme had to wait a very long time for all payments due from the CAP, and the delay in payments resulted in financial liquidity problems for many farms.
"Farmers who engage in animal breeding and declare increased standards of this breeding should not be punished with late payments," says the management board of the Lower Silesian Chamber of Agriculture.
Therefore, they propose that the problem of payments for well-being should be solved by separating this eco-scheme from the implementation of other direct payments and issuing separate decisions to farmers regarding the granting of payments. DIR submitted such a request to the Minister of Agriculture so that the errors from the recruitment and verification of applications campaign this year will no longer be repeated.
