The fast food restaurant chain Hesburger will install self-service cash registers in all its establishments in Latvia. The total investment in the project will be about 1.5 million euros, the company reports. Work on the project began in 2021. The first cash register was installed in a restaurant on Krasta street 55 in Riga. By the end of August, cash registers will appear in all 107 restaurants of the chain in Latvia. In the future, such terminals will gradually be installed in Lithuanian Hesburger restaurants. The company predicts that within a few years, 30-40% of orders will be placed through self-checkouts, 20% through a mobile app, 10-20% through delivery services and 30-40% through traditional checkouts. Now the Finnish chain Hesburger operates 477 restaurants in nine countries.
