Several senior executives at ScS have resigned as the transformation under new Italian owner Poltronesofà accelerates.
Several sources familiar with the upcoming departures informed The Furnishing Report that stakeholders were notified that key board members have collectively submitted their resignations.
In addition to Renzo Ricci, the owner of Poltronesofà, who will remain in his position, the current trading company board includes commercial director James Heese, along with Marie Liston, Lucy Clough, Gavin Vose, and Dean Weston, who oversee areas ranging from corporate services and HR to logistics and sales.
The title reports that it wasn’t possible to confirm with each director individually whether they have already resigned from the furniture retailer or plan to do so. Ashleigh Ellis, the director of buying, is also departing, along with two additional senior officials, according to an internal source at ScS.
A board member at ScS said they were unable to comment on the mass resignations but did not dispute any of the names mentioned.
It is believed that those leaving will stay in their positions until January while they serve their notice periods.
ScS was snapped up Italian furniture retailer Poltronesofà in a £99.4m deal late last year.
These departures are expected to accelerate the already swift changes under Poltronesofà’s leadership, which has been revamping the entire ScS store layout ahead of a planned rebranding.
ScS CEO Steve Carson stepped down during the summer, along with the exit of other board members, including Phil Geary and chief financial officer Mark Fleetwood.
