The Rabota.ru service and YuMoney wallet analysts conducted a study and found out how many Russians go to their dacha in the summer and what items they buy for its improvement.

More than 3,500 users of the Rabota.ru service from all regions of Russia took part in the study. The survey showed. that 48% of Russians go to their dacha in the summer: 16% do it every weekend, 9% once a month, 12% rarely visit it, and 11% sometimes come to visit friends or relatives.

9% already live in a dacha or outside the city, and 43% of study participants noted that they do not have a dacha.

“With the onset of the summer season, we at YuKassa have seen an increase in the number of purchases of gardening and vegetable goods relative to spring. According to analysts, from July 1 to July 11, 2024, compared to the same period in May, the number of purchases of garden supplies and lawn care tools increased by 21%, payment turnover increased by 62%, and the number of payers increased by 21%, average check increased by 134% and amounted to 6,198 rubles,” said Irina Polyakova, head of the YuMoney corporate client support service .

23% of survey participants who visit their dacha in the summer bought paint this year. 17% each purchased items for watering and soil. 16% of respondents chose objects for working with flowers and trees, 15% – a lawn mower, and 12% – objects for weeding. 7% of respondents purchased a lawn, 5% each a garden swing and a generator. 12% chose the “Other” option, in which they noted furniture, a swimming pool, renovation materials and other items. 39% did not buy anything for their dacha.

18% of study participants shared that they have spent or are planning to spend up to 5,000 rubles on purchasing items for their dacha. 25% noted a budget of 5,000 to 10,000 rubles, 34% are going to allocate from 10,000 to 50,000 rubles for purchases, and 11% – from 50,000 to 100,000 rubles. 12% of respondents plan to spend more than 100,000 rubles.
