Russians are increasingly choosing farm-made sweets made from natural and healthy ingredients. As Rosselkhozbank analysts found out based on data from the Svoe Rodnoe marketplace, in January – June 2024 the number of orders for farm sweets doubled compared to the same period last year.

The first place in the “healthy” rating is occupied by farmer’s preserves and jams. They account for 32% of all orders in the “Sweets” category on the marketplace. Analysts from the Svoe Rodnoe platform found out the most favorite flavors of jam among Russians. Strawberries turned out to be the undisputed leader – jam and preserves made from them are purchased the most (29%). In second place are raspberries (26%), and cherries (24%) close the top three. The remaining 21% included flavors from pine cones, figs, blueberries, roses, etc.
Second place in the ranking is occupied by organic desserts – 25% of orders. Such delicacies are created on farms operating according to the principles of organic production: without the use of hormones to enhance growth and lactation, antibiotics, GMOs and any chemical components. The most popular among platform users are cakes and pastries made from natural ingredients with a lot of berries and fruits.
The third position in terms of share of demand among farm sweets is occupied by chocolate, accounting for 23% of orders. Manufacturers offer unusual combinations of flavors and use freshly harvested ingredients. In this category, the leading positions are occupied by handmade chocolate with the addition of berries and nuts, chocolate with pine cones, and artisan chocolate with chili peppers.
Also popular among users of the Svoe Rodnoe marketplace are marshmallows and marshmallows, candies, syrups, etc. (20% of orders).
Experts from the Svoe Rodnoe platform note that over the six months of this year, Russians’ interest in farm sweets has increased by 100% compared to the same period in 2023.
