The QR code contains all the necessary information about letters and parcels that are awaiting the addressee or that the client has registered for sending. The technology does not require additional user identification; all data is automatically entered into the system. The innovation has already shown its effectiveness: the processing time for postal items has been reduced by an average of 3 times.
The QR code is updated every 10 minutes, it is encrypted and allows you to reliably protect user data. To use the service, you need to download the Russian Post mobile application and have a simple electronic signature. The update is available for all operating systems and works nationwide.
The technology greatly simplifies the work of Russian Post employees, as they no longer need to manually check and process each envelope or parcel. Instead, they can simply scan the QR code, which contains all the necessary information about the recipient and sender. The operator immediately sees all the client’s shipments on one screen if the sender indicated the recipient’s mobile phone number. Issuance takes no more than 30 seconds and complies with all security protocols.
Post's key task for the current year is to improve the quality of services provided. The client can independently choose from the offered options how it is more convenient for him to receive and send letters and parcels: using a QR code, SMS identification or a paper document confirming his identity.
