This is the third price increase by the holding company since privatization in April. In letters to producers, Rosspirtprom explained the measure by the increase in the cost of borrowed capital due to a change in the Central Bank's key rate, as well as by the growth in the cost of alcohol after the rise in the price of the main raw materials, goods and services that are necessary to ensure operations.
Since June 2024, Rosspirtprom has already raised alcohol prices three times. Before that, the holding increased the price from August 1, 2024 – from 730 rubles per 1 dal to 780 rubles, and even earlier – from June 1 from 680 rubles to 730 rubles. The price of 680 rubles per 1 dal was in effect from January 1, 2023. Thus, from June to September of this year, the price of alcohol will increase by 25%.
Established in 2000, Rosspirtprom includes eight distilleries purchased in 2015 for RUB 5.7 billion, as well as four more enterprises (the holding's share in them is 25%). Rosspirtprom's revenue in 2023 amounted to RUB 1.8 billion against RUB 2 billion a year earlier, net profit was RUB 560.9 million against RUB 848.7 million in 2022.
