In addition, in agreement with the prosecutor's office, the agency will conduct unscheduled inspections of enterprises that have begun work without notifying special bodies about the start of their activities.

"From September 21, 2024, a number of amendments to the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of March 10, 2022 No. 336 "On the specifics of organizing and implementing state control (supervision), municipal control" will come into force. In accordance with the amendments, Rospotrebnadzor will conduct "unannounced inspections" (without notifying the controlled persons) when identifying risk indicators of violation of mandatory requirements for products that are subject to labeling with identification means," Rospotrebnadzor noted.
The period for mandatory preventive visits has also been increased from 1 to 10 days for educational institutions, state and municipal healthcare institutions, social services and children's nutrition institutions, the objects of control of which are classified as extremely high and high risk.
The period for carrying out preventive visits based on instructions from the President, Prime Minister or Deputy Prime Ministers has also been increased from 1 to 10 working days. At the same time, at facilities used or managed by several persons, the period for carrying out such preventive visits may be extended by no more than 10 working days.
“It is now also possible to conduct an unscheduled control event, in agreement with the prosecutor’s office, upon receipt of information about the fact of entrepreneurial activity without submitting a notification of the commencement of such activity to the relevant government authorities,” the department added.
