“The fact is that recently, news about mass poisoning of people has repeatedly appeared in the media, be it quite popular federal food delivery services or shawarma cafes. “The news about dozens of people falling ill with a dangerous infection that causes botulism and led to the death of people caused horror,” the document says.

The appeal notes that experts and researchers are sounding the alarm and saying that such products should not be released onto the market. E. coli, salmonella, staphylococcus and other microbes quite dangerous to humans are regularly found in food supplied by services when checking such incidents, as indicated in the text.

As Boris Chernyshov reported, the moratorium on inspections of small and medium-sized businesses, which has been in effect for two years, has significantly affected the quality of the products of individual manufacturers and catering establishments.

“We see reports of cases of mass poisoning of citizens in different regions and in different services: from shawarma eateries to large chain establishments,” explained the Deputy Speaker of the State Duma .
