Retail chains will have stricter requirements for payment terms for delivered products

Amendments to the law on trade regulation (dated 28.12.2009 No. 381-FZ ) will come into force on March 1, 2025 , tightening the requirements for payment terms for perishable food products supplied to trade organizations, writes buh.ru. The corresponding Federal Law of 08.08.2024 No. 301-FZ was published on the official Internet portal of legal information.

According to the current regulations of paragraph 7 of Article 9, food products for which the shelf life is set at less than 10 days are subject to payment no later than 8 working days from the date of actual receipt of such goods by the trading enterprise.

Now this norm will be supplemented by a rule according to which food products with a shelf life of up to five days are subject to payment no later than four working days from the date of actual receipt of such goods. This rule should apply if the supply contract and accompanying documents are drawn up in electronic form.

These regulations will come into force on March 1, 2025.
