Liquor stores in Estonia seem to have not heard anything about the economic downturn: this is evidenced by the figures in their annual reports – Estonians do not stop buying alcoholic drinks, writes Ärileht. OÜ Aldar Eesti, which operates the CityAlko and SuperAlko stores, earned 151 306,218 euros, of which the net profit was 2.9 million euros. This is a significant increase compared to last year, when the company made a profit of 2.6 million euros on a turnover of 137 million euros. According to the report, the company has accumulated retained earnings of almost 14 million euros. It follows from the document that last year the owners received dividends from the company in the amount of three million euros, which can be considered an exceptional case in the current economic situation.
