Rental rates on the central shopping street of St. Petersburg increased 1.5 times

In the first half of 2024, the rental of premises for street retail on the main fashionable street of St. Petersburg – Bolshoy Prospect of the Petrograd Side – increased by 50%, to 3-8 thousand rubles per sq. m. m per month.

Back in 2023, Bolshoy Prospekt P.S. for the first time surpassed Staro-Nevsky Prospekt in terms of the presence of fashion outlets – today 36% of the street retail space there is occupied by clothing and footwear stores. Over 1.5 years, the share of vacant space on Bolshoy Prospekt P.S. decreased by 5 percentage points, to 3.9% – this is the minimum figure for the last 5 years. Since the beginning of 2024, 11 fashion brands have opened or were announced to open on Bolshoy Prospekt P.S.

For the second year in a row, Bolshoi Prospekt is actively developing in terms of increasing the share of fashion operators and maintains first place in attractiveness among the requests of our clients. This is explained by the length of the street, the convenient configuration of the premises, a large number of storefront retail spaces, as well as the active construction of housing in the Petrogradsky district ,” commented Anna Lapchenko, director of the retail real estate department of NF Group in St. Petersburg .

Forma plans to commission more than 26 thousand sq. m. by 2027. m street retail .

The number of new openings of cafes and restaurants in the first half of 2024 in Moscow increased by 78% .
