The tax changes proposed by the new government will lead to additional inflation of several percent, the chairman of the opposition Fatherland party, Urmas Reinsalu, predicted on Vikerraadio .
“If we look at the figures of Michal’s government, then, by and large, the proportion is as follows: a billion comes from tax increases, and a hundred million from savings next year,” Rus.ERR quotes Reinsalu, who emphasized that this proportion is clearly violated .
According to his estimates, in August this year it is necessary to draw up another negative supplementary budget and reduce public administration costs by 300 million euros. He also believes that the reductions should not be spread out over three years; they should be carried out immediately.
“People with average and low incomes will suffer the most from tax increases,” said the leader of the opposition party, according to his calculations, a family with two children receiving an average salary will lose an amount equal to one month's salary.
