Price growth in Estonia shows no signs of slowing down and is creating a number of problems for the population. And economists say we should tighten our belts in anticipation of another powerful price rally.
The numbers are merciless: the statistics office reported that the consumer price index in Estonia rose 0.3% in July compared with June, and prices were 3.4% higher than a year earlier. The price increase was mainly due to services, which rose in price by 6.3%, while goods rose in price by 1.7%. The average price increase in the European Union over the same period was 2.6%.
