– Rapeseed prices fell again on Tuesday on the Euronext-Paris exchange under increasing pressure from the soybean complex. Soybean prices, already low, plummeted following the publication of the latest monthly USDA report, in which the forecast for the American and global harvest in the new season was raised to a new historical record. Strong selling pressure in the soybean complex translated into a weakening of corn futures prices on Tuesday (Chicago and Paris). The increase in the forecast for the canola harvest in Canada and the improved competitiveness of this origin on the EU market are also putting pressure on prices. Palm oil also fell to its lowest level since early January on the Kuala Lumpur exchange on Tuesday in response to the sharp slowdown in Malaysian exports since early August. At the close of the bag session, rapeseed for delivery in November cost just under EUR 453/t, after a drop of EUR 7.25 – informs Andrzej Bąk from eWGT.
