The Holding Aqua company, known for its mineral water brands Essentuki No. 4 and No. 17 and Narzan, has solved the problem with the supply of aluminum caps for bottles. Until 2022, they were supplied from Europe, since there was no proprietary technology for the production of such caps.
The manufacturer managed to find a Chinese supplier of aluminum caps. “ Otherwise there would be a tin lid ,” explains the general director of Aqua Holding Svyatoslav Vilk .
He also spoke about innovative technology that allows the use of caps for plastic bottles and glass bottles – the company is now developing in this direction.
In general, sanctions and inflation have had a significant impact on the mineral water market. In 2023, production costs increased by 30%. Including due to the fact that until 2022, equipment was imported mainly from Italy.
