"Avito Rabota": the demand for employees in the fashion industry has almost doubled over the year

Avito Works experts analyzed the dynamics of vacancies and average offered salaries for new employees in the fashion industry. According to the platform, in the first half of this year, the number of vacancies in the fashion industry increased by 94% compared to the same period last year.

In turn, average salary offers for new employees in this industry increased by 12% over the year and reached 72,068 rubles per month for a full day.

The greatest increase in demand occurred for managers working with marketplaces. The number of vacancies for these specialists has increased by 2.8 times (+182%) compared to the first half of 2023, reflecting the growing importance of e-commerce in the fashion industry. The average offered salary for these specialists was 54,912 rubles per month with a full schedule.

The demand for customer service managers also increased more than 2 times (+115%), and applicants for this position in the first half of 2024 could count on an average of 61,175 rubles per month.

The profession of sales manager in the fashion industry became the third leader in the growth of employer demand – the number of vacancies for them increased by 81%, the average salary offers for new employees amounted to 70,686 rubles per month.

Creative specialties in the industry also remain in demand – the increase in the number of job offers for designers was 19%, and the average salary offers for candidates for this position amounted to 63,080 rubles.

“Against the backdrop of changes in the international economy, we see many domestic brands actively occupying niches previously owned by foreign companies. This not only creates new jobs, but also contributes to a breakthrough in the Russian fashion industry . In the context of new business realities, Russian manufacturers have more opportunities to develop and strengthen their positions in the market, but this also requires attracting new qualified personnel,” commented Roman Gubanov, development director at Avito Works .
