The Pyaterochka retail chain analyzed the dynamics of demand for the brand’s franchise based on the results of the first half of 2024.

From January to June, Russian entrepreneurs opened 59 new Pyaterochka franchise stores, which is 1.5 times higher than last year. The total number of operating Pyaterochka franchise points has increased by 16% since the beginning of the year, to 377 stores in 36 regions of Russia. Their total trade turnover in the first half of the year increased year-on-year by 15%.
The retailer is actively attracting new franchisees. In six months, Pyaterochka signed agreements with 28 partners to open 44 new stores in the near future, while for the entire 2023, 27 partners joined the network. In total, the chain now has 75 franchisees with stores already operating or under construction under the Pyaterochka brand.
Most Pyaterochka franchisees are not limited to one store, but strive to build their own mini-chain. 58% of retailer partners have opened 2 or more outlets, and 11% manage more than 10 stores.
The most popular regions for opening franchise stores were the Moscow region (18 points), Leningrad region (13) and Volgograd region (5). For the first time, partner stores appeared in three regions in the first half of the year: the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the Republic of Kalmykia and the Sverdlovsk region.
