
Stefan Dürr is a German agricultural entrepreneur and founder of holding Ekosem-Agrar, which in Russia became the largest producer of milk. From reports in Russian media it appears, that the businessman has been awarded the Order of Friendship given by President of Russia Ladimir Putin. The medal was presented to Dürer by the Governor of Voronezh Region Alexander

A few years ago Dürr took also as Russian citizenship. As a result of Western sanctions after aggression of Russia on Ukraine, Dürr decided to combine holding with operations registered in Russia. At the end
of last year German holding sold its shares in Russian indirect company to take EkoNiva.

The Dürr company was the largest producer and processor of milk in Russia, supplying to the market about 1.26 million tons of milk in 2023 year. Dürr financed the expansion of operations in Russia in a significant measure through bonds issued in Germany. When
selling the Russian bondholders received remuneration significantly below the nominal value – donates Agrarheute. They received
compensation of 300 euros for each bond of nominal value 1,000 euros.
