Primark has confirmed that its first standalone homewares store will open in Belfast city centre this March.
The 8,700sq ft Primark Home store will launch at Fountain House, housing some of the high street giant’s most popular homeware items include bedding, towels, and ceramics.
According to Irish News, the retailer said the move is in response to the growth in the homewares side of its business, which has expanded significantly since 2021.
Head of Primark Northern Ireland and Ireland Fintan Costello said: “This is a truly proud moment for Primark as we open our first standalone Primark Home store.
“Belfast felt like the perfect place to bring this concept to life, and Fountain House offers an incredible setting in the heart of the city centre to showcase our expanded homeware range.
“Our Home collection has always proven to be a real hit among our Belfast customers and we can’t wait to welcome them into our very first Primark Home store.”
Last month, the business unveiled four new stores across the UK, US, France, and Spain in a single day, marking a major milestone in its international expansion.
The stores are part of a £37m investment, adding 130,000sq ft of retail space and creating 580 new jobs.
The openings came after it launched a new store format to the UK for the first time in November.
