According to our survey today, domestic purchasers currently pay from PLN 8.60 to PLN 9.00 net per kilogram for fattened pigs in class E. The average purchase price is PLN 8.82 net per kilogram, which is 6 groszy less than a week ago.
Live pigs cost from PLN 6.30 to PLN 7.20 net per kilogram. The average purchase price is PLN 6.79/kg, which is 4 groszy less than a week ago.

It is worth adding that the current prices are the lowest since mid-February. This is a bad omen for the future. Mid-summer is usually the period of the highest prices of fattened pigs throughout the year, which results from seasonal factors. Smaller or larger declines are usually observed from the beginning of autumn. This is confirmed by analysts' forecasts, which suggest that the biggest market collapse will occur at the beginning of next year.
