Russian Post analyzed export flows for the first half of 2024. The number of shipments to China, according to the company, increased by 11% compared to the first six months of 2023.

Export volumes to Latin American countries also showed significant growth: in the first half of 2024, 12% more parcels were sent to the region. More than half (55%) is from Argentina, 16% from Brazil, and 15% from Chile.
The mail flow to South Korea increased by 8%, to Africa by 4%, where Egypt showed the largest increase, adding 30% year-on-year. It accounts for 29% of all parcels to the continent. Morocco is in second place with 12%, and South Africa is in third place with 11%.
Exporters are increasingly choosing the small package format, which is suitable for shipments up to 2 kg.
“The volume of cross-border trade is growing, Russian manufacturers and entrepreneurs are exploring new markets – China, Africa, Latin America. In order to support entrepreneurs who are opening new markets for their goods, this summer we are setting special favorable tariffs for express shipments , ” commented Anton Nechaev, director of product and service development at Russian Post .
