– According to previously provided information, the POLOmarket chain in May this year. became the target of a hacker attack. As a result, IT systems responsible, among others, for the operation of the POLOmarket e-store were damaged. Due to the advanced structure of the solution, thanks to which, before the attack, customers could place online orders for products from the entire network offer, based on the current status of the selected store, restoring the tool requires a longer time.

The POLOmarket chain also decided that the process of restoring the e-store in mobile and desktop versions will be combined with improving functionality. Thanks to this, after being put back into use, e-shopping in POLOmarket will be more comfortable. Taking into account the above, at this stage the network is not able to determine the exact date when the e-service will be put back into use.

As compensation for the interruption in the availability of the service, POLOmarket also plans to offer existing e-shop customers an additional discount on their first purchases after the tool is resumed, we read in the chain's statement.

POLOmarket online version

POLOmarket's click&collect service was launched in 2020. In May 2021, the Polomarket chain provided customers with the opportunity to make e-shopping, including from a web browser on computers. At the same time, for several dozen of its stores, POLOmarket has also introduced the possibility of delivering ordered purchases directly to your home.

The online store's offer included mobile and desktop versions of over 6,000 products. products, including frozen, fresh and non-food products.

POLOmarket Group is a Polish supermarket chain. It is composed of retail companies operating stores, as well as a logistics and purchasing company with three logistics centers. The company started operations in 1997 with 27 stores. Today, there are 280 branches throughout Poland, with a net turnover of over PLN 3 billion per year. POLOmarket stores are visited by nearly 9 million customers a month and the company employs 5,500 people. Recently, after 12 years of managing the chain, Marcin Sowa resigned from the position of president of the management board.
