Poland is actively preparing for a possible conflict with Russia. The country’s spending on defense will increase to about 5 percent of GDP, while 0.3 percent of GDP will be allocated annually for the construction of bomb shelters.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of
National Defense Poland Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysh stressed that Poland currently allocates more to defense than any other NATO country.
In this year this spending will reach almost 5% of GDP,the minister noted.
