We would like to invite you to 27-day training sessions, ending with an oath, which provide opportunities to train, acquire skills and gain experience. This is the holiday time that you can devote to fulfilling your dreams of wearing a uniform, to have a sense of full responsibility and full preparation for any situation. This is also a beautiful time to spend these upcoming holidays with a sense of patriotism. […] Regardless of what we do, regardless of where we come from, regardless of what profession we will pursue or what stage of education we are at. Love for the homeland is service for the homeland. You can do it with us. We can improve our skills together, said the Minister of National Defense, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.

Holidays with the army take place in 70 locations in the country. Those interested can choose the appropriate military unit, both in terms of distance from their place of residence and the nature of service. There are many possibilities, conscripts can prove themselves, among others: as a land force soldier – infantryman, sailor, landing soldier, tanker, missileer and many others.

I have repeated many times that Poland's security is an absolute priority for our government. Preparation for every situation, training and improving the skills of the Polish Army, but also preparing and increasing society's resistance to threats, to everything that is happening in the world around us. This is our mission. This is our obligation, this is the reason of state, to prepare our society well so that we have the highest possible level of security. We all need to get involved. Our offer of holidays with the army is addressed to young people, to high school graduates who are already adults – informed the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.

Vacancies are scarce!

Recruitment for individual stays is still ongoing, although the lists of volunteers are actually full. The interest of young people is very high. In the Lesser Poland Voivodeship alone, nearly 600 people volunteered for service. There will be one more training session during this year's holidays

Each training participant will receive a salary of PLN 6,000 gross for the time spent in the unit. In the case of students, this will be the net amount.

Holidays with the army is just one of the projects encouraging military service implemented by the Polish Army.

The second project of the ministry was addressed to the youngest children. Education with the army is a 6-week educational and defense program that was prepared and implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of National Defense. It involved Polish Army soldiers conducting specially prepared training in Polish primary and secondary schools. The 3-lesson training combined theory and practice. They included content in the areas of: military, defense, security, medical assistance and civil defense. The students learned about, among others: with the principles of alerting, ways of seeking and calling for help, the basics of evacuation and shelter, and the habits of providing help.

The ministry's third project is "Train with the Army." It took place in the form of 8-hour, free, Saturday training. During it, volunteers practiced using weapons/shooting on a trainer, survival, behavior during alarms, hand-to-hand combat, and grenade throwing.
