The aid was intended for farmers who, between January 1 and May 31, 2024, sold wheat, rye, barley, triticale or cereal mixtures to entities operating in the field of cereal trading, purchase or processing of cereals or entities purchasing cereals in connection with their production. animal. In addition, those applying for this support should have submitted an application for direct payments in 2023, and the farm they run must meet the criterion of a micro, small or medium-sized enterprise. The total area of crops for which aid may be granted may not exceed 300 ha. When an agricultural production cooperative or a farmers' cooperative applies for support, the limit is set at its request as the product of 300 and the number of members of a given cooperative.

Payouts are up over 100 percent and grain is cheap. How much should wheat cost?
The budget allocated for cereal subsidies is PLN 2.1 billion. Over 187,000 applications were submitted. applications, and since the resulting amount exceeded the available limit, it was necessary to set a correction coefficient – it is 0.92.
The amount of subsidies depends on the time period in which the grain and its type were sold. For farmers who sold grain between January 1 and March 10, 2024, the rates are:
- PLN 1,080/ha of wheat;
- PLN 740/ha for rye, barley, triticale or cereal mixtures.
However, if the farmer sold his grain between March 11 and May 31, 2024, the rates are:
- PLN 1,620/ha of wheat;
- PLN 1,110/ha for rye, barley, triticale or cereal mixtures.

Purchase prices of cereals and rapeseed. Consumer cereals more expensive than at the end of July
The amount of aid that a farmer can receive is calculated based on two algorithms:
- the area of cereal crops (wheat, rye, barley, triticale or cereal mixtures) resulting from the application for direct payments submitted in 2023 is multiplied by the aid rate;
- the number of tons of cereals sold, resulting from invoices or copies of invoices or their duplicates confirming such a transaction in a given period, is divided by 5.4 for wheat or 3.7 for other cereals covered by support – the result of this action is multiplied by the aid rate.
In both cases, the result should be multiplied by the correction factor, and the lower of the amounts calculated on the basis of these two methods will be the one that the farmer will receive.
