Today, the festive opening of the Selver supermarket took place in the largest shopping centre in Tallinn's Haabersti district. The Rocca al Mare Selver has a sales area of 3,182.5 m² and its product range includes approximately 20,000 food and essential goods. The Selver store is located on the Unibet Arena side and can be easily accessed from both the parking lot and from inside the centre. According to Selver CEO Kristi Lomp, opening a new store in one of Estonia's largest shopping centres will strengthen the chain's position in the local retail market. "We are very pleased to open a store in such a great location. The new store will offer Selver's traditional quality – a wide and fresh selection of products, including delicacies and world cuisine, organic products, many Estonian products, as well as a wide selection of products from our fish and meat masters and bakers," said Kristi Lomp. “The opening of Selver supermarket in Rocca al Mare is a strategic step towards meeting customer expectations for a convenient everyday shopping environment. Two different grocery stores with a very wide range of products under one roof in one of the largest shopping centres in Estonia will provide customers with exceptional convenience and choice. Kristi Lomp also hopes that the increased competition will benefit both the entire area and, most importantly, consumers, who will be able to choose the most suitable grocery store according to their preferences and needs. The core of Rocca al Mare Selver’s product range is its ready-to-eat meals, created for the convenience of its customers. The store’s bakery bakes fresh pan pizzas, ciabattas, focaccias, burgers, pies and buns. The meat and fish counters offer a wide selection of products prepared right in the store, while Selveri Köök delights with a variety of culinary and confectionary products. In addition to an impressive selection of Estonian food products, the shelves also offer a wide selection of consumer goods. Rocca al Mare Selver also issues identity documents. ID cards and passports can be picked up from the store’s information desk any day of the week during its opening hours – Monday through Sunday from 8:00 to 23:00. The documents are issued by employees authorised by the Police and Border Guard Board (PPA) and who have undergone the appropriate training. Selver stores only issue documents ordered there. The stores do not carry out any other document-related transactions. The store premises are designed using the latest and most sustainable technology. The ventilation, heating and cooling of the building operate on demand, and the cooling system uses a CO₂-based refrigerant, which saves around one fifth of the energy compared to older analogues. The residual heat from the cooling system is used to heat the building and warm up domestic hot water. To ensure optimal air and heat circulation in the sales area, fans are installed in the ceiling, which mix the air and reduce heating costs. The water is purified using the latest water purification system based on electrolytic processing. The LED-based lighting of the store is controlled depending on demand. Paper savings are achieved through the use of digital solutions, such as electronic price tags in the fruit and vegetable departments and in the bakery, advertising messages on digital screens and digital receipts of the Partner card. Shopping in the new store will be particularly convenient and environmentally friendly thanks to the Partner card app, with which you can scan products and pay for purchases using only a mobile phone. Customers will also be pleased with the container collection machines, where you can load containers directly from the bag. The Selver container collection point is located on the Unibet Arena side and can be easily reached by car. At the opening of Rocca al Mare Selver, customers were treated to music, gifts and special offers. The opening offers are valid until September 2. On Friday, August 30, there will be a 20% discount on fruits, vegetables, freshly squeezed juices and smoothies, and on Saturday, August 31, world cuisine products will cost customers as much as 30% less!
