Ozon plans to hire Belarusians to work in Russia

Ozon планирует нанимать белорусов на работу в России

Ozon chooses a recruitment agency that will help with attracting citizens of Belarus and Kyrgyzstan to work at the company’s warehouses in Russia. The marketplace needs employees without skills from 18 to 45 years old who know Russian. Experts spoke about the explosive growth in the need for warehouse workers in Russia, writes RB.RU.

As follows from the terms of reference for the tender, Ozon’s need for employees from these countries is 350 people per week.

The terms of reference indicate payment under a civil contract – from 150 thousand rubles, including a fixed part. It is indicated that the employee will be provided with food, transportation to the place of work, uniform, and hostel. It is not known whether this package is included in the salary.

Personnel are needed for six warehouses in the Moscow region, as well as for facilities in St. Petersburg, Rostov, Chapaevsk, and Yekaterinburg.

The recruitment agency will need to select personnel, transfer scans of passports to Ozon, collect medical certificates with negative tests for HIV and tuberculosis, and transfer a list of rejected candidates. For its part, the marketplace will purchase tickets for future employees, register them with migration authorities at their place of temporary residence, begin the process of obtaining work permits, and sign an employment contract.

Elena Limonova, development director of the staffing agency "Staff-AP", an expert on the labor market of the Moscow city branch of "Opora Rossii" explained that Ozon's plans are probably due to the fact that workers from these countries have some advantages, such as readiness to work and lower salary requirements.

Among Russians, there is a lower demand for this type of work and they are not willing to take such vacancies and have higher payment requirements.

According to recent estimates, the flow of labor migrants from Belarus to Russia has increased in recent years. Now, according to experts, more than a million Belarusian citizens live and work in Russia.

According to Avito Works, according to the results of the first half of the year, the ranking of the highest paid specialists in logistics included the professions of storekeeper and order picker with average offered salaries of 115.7 thousand rubles and 110.9 thousand rubles per month, respectively.

The number of vacancies for warehouse employees increased by 1.9 times (+89%) year-on-year, and their average salary offers increased by 54%. Employers in the logistics industry are ready to offer new specialists an average of 95.2 thousand rubles per month for a full-time job.
