
The new year has increased prices of basic products, which makes shopping baskets even more expensive. How much are we paying at such stores as Lewiatan, Zabka and Carrefour Express? We have analyzed the Data Cart Prices ForCommerce.co.uk and checked, where is the cheapest.
Prices at Lewiatan
Purchasing at Lewiatan is becoming an increasing challenge to the home budget. In January br. for 50 products FMCG we pay 500-501 £, that is even by 25 £ more than in October 2024 (approx. 475 zł). This increase was affected by the increase in the price of butter, oil and eggs. In comparison to January 2024 prices are higher by about 10 £ (490 £).
Prices in Zabka
Today for 50 products FMCG we will pay 590 zł, which means an increase by 10 £ in comparison to October last year, when the basket costed about 550 £. In three months in frog chocolate, cheese yellow and eggs became more expensive.
W compared to January 2024 year, when a basket cost about 560 £, prices have increased by 30 £. This means, that for the same products customers must spend now about 5.3 % more.
Prices at Carrefour Express
The price surge is also at Carrefour Express. The cost of 50 products from the basket prices is now about. 670 zł, which testifies to an increase in relative to October last year (average 640 zł). The increase is even 30 zł depending on location (the most expensive is today in Trinity). In the new year more we will pay for chocolate, oil and butter.

How have the prices of specific products changed?
Butter has become in Poland the true symbol of galloping price. In October costs were low.On average 8.02 £, when current prices reach even 11.50 £ (average price is about 9 £). For comparison, in January 2024 year, the average butter price was 6.50 zł.
Prices of eggs also glide in upward. Today they can cost as much as 13.50 £, when in October their maximum price was 13 £.
